Uses other than DVD movies?

I 'm fairly sure the answer to my questoin is no, but I figured I would ask anyway. Is there a way to use ratDVD to compress DVDs that contain data other than video? For example, could it be used on a PS2 DVD game? or a DVD MP3 disc? The PS2 game compression would be great. I could save all my games on a hard drive and burn a new copy quickly if other backups got damaged.

    Answer is actually NO ;)
RatDVD is the tool for Video-Compression, and this is LOSSY compression, quality is really high, but not the same as original! So it's useless for "data-compression" (i.e. DVD Games). Possibly such tool as "Alcohol 120%" will help you: it supports making images of DVDs with any type of data, and even compress it (but not more than any usual data-archivators): http://www.alcohol-software.com/

Thanks man! I was just wondering if data could be compressed like video files. I would like to keep a copy of all my backups on my external hard drive for future use instead of going back to the original. Right now I have approx. 30 games on it, but 21 of the original game discs were stolen out of my car when at school. So I need to keep all my backups around if my backup discs get dammaged.

best idea is to take all your backups and crunch the HECK outta em....best program ive ran across for that so far is called 7-zip (www.7-zip.org) its a free program, and generally speaking it works better than winrar or winzip...or most any other compression program out there.
