Hello all, I purchased the Sanyo DRW-500 and as of right now its a piece of *****!!! lol I got this thing and thought wow this is easy and had it burning movies to a dvd+wr that I has saved on my satelite recievers built in DVR and had no problem at all. I put 3 kids movies on one disc and was jumping with joy. But now I try to do the same thing and it will record for about 30sec to 1 min and then the picture goes away and the hole screen flashes green and pink and yellow and then it kicks off and there is nothing on the disc. I have tried every brand of dvd i can find and it does the same thing. Any thoughts on what the heck is going on!!!!!
I had one of these that I suffered with for a month. Mine got to the point where when I put a new disk in and it was preparing it. A message that the disk was full would appear. It didn't discriminate between brands either. It hated them all equally. My suggestion is that if you don't have a window that it will fit through is to return it to the store. You'll feel much better on the way home.
