    I am about to buy a Seagate 160gig hd (Model: ST3160023A).

    Is this all I do to install it:

    Take off the cover
    Disconnect the original hd. Take off the cable to the DVD drive.

    Set original drive to master, Set new drive to slave

    Attach the dvd cable to the new drive and the original drive back to the ide cable and use a power splitter to connect both drives and then goto the xenium ice menu/drive upgrade wizard

    Make sure u upgraded u're bios first so it can read hard drives larger than 130 gig...U got the right procedures for upgrading u're hard drive.

    My bios I believe is X2.5032.

    How do I go about adding LBA48 to the drive?

    you can't run 2 hd's at the same time...you can have 2 hd's but you will need a switch to regulate which hd will get the power.

    if you are looking to just upgrade to a new hd, just put it in and format it with the xenium os...then just install a dashboard and whatever else you wish to put on the hd.

    Yeah, I'm just taking out the small drive and putting in a 160gig seagate drive.

    What do I gotta do for this 137gig barrier stuff or is there anything I need to do? I use Evox, XBMC and UnleashX dashboards.

    Flash your bios with a new one and which support a larger LBA.If u know u're chip maker and version of u're XB, look around for a bios that u can use.I'm not sure but i think Slayer's auto installer has everything on 1 disc.

    The Xenium OS formatted the f drive and copied the content from c and e of the original drive to the new drive. I didnt see it say anything about formatting the g drive.

    Can I safely format the G drive w/o messing up the other partitions?

    Yes you can, and you must do it. Formatting the G drive will not mess up any other partition on your Xbox's HD. But w/ it not being formatted, your Xbox will never even know that it has more space available on the HD.

    Ok when I load up my xbox and it goes to the xenium os screen, I then ftp to my box and goto the G drive. I ftped a 50meg file to the g drive and I see it listed on the G drive on flashfxp. Do I still need to format the G drive even if I can ftp to it?

    Ok well after formatting the G drive, It still doesnt show (Evox says G drive 0/0, UnleashX shows 0/0 and so does XBMC.

    Well, that is strange that even XBMC is not recognizing the G: Even if you have not altered the dash, it should still show up.

    In your evoxdash.xbe file, did you customize it so it reads the G:?

    Here is how mine looks,

    Section "Root"
    {
    Item "Launch Game/DVD",ID_Launch_DVD
    Item "Trainers",ID_trainer
    Item "MS Dashboard",ID_MS_Dash
    Item "Reboot",ID_Quick_Reboot
    # Item "Power Cycle",ID_Full_Reboot
    Item "Power Off",ID_Power_Off
    # Item "Lock Harddisk",@210
    # Item "Unlock Harddisk",@211
    Section "System Utils"
    {
    Item "Settings",ID_Settings
    Item "Flash BIOS",ID_Flash_Bios
    Item "Backup",ID_Backup
    Item "Skins",ID_Skins
    }
    Section "Launch Menu"
    {
    Section "Games"
    {
    AutoAddItem "e:\games\"
    AutoAddItem "f:\games\"
    [/bold]AutoAddItem "g:\games\"[/bold]
    SortAll
    }
    Section "Apps"
    {
    AutoAddItem "e:\apps\"
    AutoAddItem "f:\apps\"
    [bold]AutoAddItem "g:\apps\"[/bold]
    SortAll
    }
    Section "Emulators"
    {
    AutoAddItem "e:\emulators\"
    AutoAddItem "f:\emulators\"
    [bold]AutoAddItem "g:\emulators\"[/bold]
    SortAll
    }
    Section "Movies"
    {
    AutoAddItem "e:\movies\"
    AutoAddItem "f:\movies\"
    [bold]AutoAddItem "g:\movies\"[/bold]
    SortAll
    }
    }
    }

    If you have not customized your evoxdash.xbe file, then try adding that g: to those sections (yours may look a tad different)

    If you still cannot get it working, I would say take it up w/ some hardcore Xbox nerds on http://www.xbox-scene.com
