I've been trying to use the converter but hasn't worked at all, im following the guide here http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/dvd2divx_anamorphic.cfm and i've read other threads but haven't helped, can someone explain what i have to do to convert the .d2v to the pseudo-AVI so i can use it in VirtualDub 1.4.11. If you have any suggestions post please.

Most likely you didn't put VFAPI in the same directory as DVD2AVI. The other possibility could be that after unpacking it you didn't install it (run batch file and should be ok)
