I have just went thru 10 cdrs. I am using alcohol 120% to burn marvel vs capcom 2-not a dvd game. using GS V2 to load the CDR. MESSAGE COMES UP THAT ITS NOT A PS2 FORMAT DISC?? should I use dif. prog? i did select/deselect on the fly both don't work. Using windows ME HELP!

U say ur using DVD X whats that? isn't that a region changer?

DVD X Copy is a program for the PC. It allows you to make a perfect backup of a DVD on a DVD-R or DVD+R. There's also a crappier version called DVD Copy Plus that allows you to make DVDs into VCDs but I own it and it sucks pretty bad.

I burned Midnight Club 2 to a DVD+RW. all the info is on the disc, but the Ps2 keeps on saying "Reading Disc", should i just keep reseting, how do i know if i burned it properly?

Depends if your PS2 version can read + media, if the disc was closed, if you have a modchip, what boot process you are trying. Do a search in the forum and you will find some of your answers.

Ok, I tried to burn and boot some of the BootCDs they had at MegaGames. None of them would boot creectly in my PS2. since they are PS1 Boot CD will they only boot in a PS1?

HI i'm also trying to play a ps one import on my ps2 what version of GS do i need ? a psone ?? if so does the ps2 GS have to be version 2? or does anybody know? thanks !! a lot would be awsome if u guys knew ;) thanks in advance

To play back up ps1 games on a ps2, you need Action replay for ps one with the swip card method.
you can get it at bestbuy or target for 15 bucks.

I am not sure if ar works with original import ps1 games, but I am sure that it works with import back ups!
So, if it doesn't work with original, you can just make a copy and play it! CDRs are really cheap these days... :-)

As for the version, I believe it is 4.something.
I just bought it from bestbuy a week ago, so i am assuming it is a newer version.

well hey i got it to load and everything, but now like about 8 seconds into starting up a red circle with a slash going through it comes up and i can't do anything is there a way to bypass this???

after you swap, push X twice. the screen will be blank and the game will load.

The game does load man, but once i'm starting to play the game about 8 seconds in it just gives me this red circle with slash going through and it won't let me do anything??

It does not happen to me, so I can't help you.

It's great to read this thread.
I have successfully backup PS2's DVD game with DVD Decrypter on DVD+R and it works fine.
However, did anyone of you tried to burn with DVD+RW? I have tried many times with DVD Decrytor or Nero but resulted DVD+RW still cannot works.
I have tried to play movies on DVD+RW on the PS2 and it's O.K. so I confirmed the player can read DVD+RW but I don't know why it can't play games on DVD+RW.

Do anyone of u help as DVD+RW can be reused for other games and save our $

Hey Wizkid, you know the guide that you posted about Burning PS2 games with Nero?

Okay well this is it:

1. Start Nero, Use the Wizard (for easy use)
2. Select "DVD" then select Next
3. Select "Copy a DVD" then select Next
4. Select your source drive
5. Select or Deselect "copy on the fly" then click next
6. Select your write speed
7. Select either "Test", "Test and Burn" or "Burn"
8. Press "Burn" to begin

And when I do that i only get steps 1-4 then it goes straight to the Burn screen and the other options ( test, test and burn ) aren't there, only BURN. So is there any thing else that i need to do? And what do i do to copy the game to the hard drive? and if thats what the guide is for ( the one that you posted ) then how do you burn the image off the hard drive to a dvd-r?

thanks and i would appreciate if you told me the whole guide for buring a game from start to finish with nero ( using the wizard ) like i would like to have a guide that has the steps for how to burn the image to the hard drive and then how to burn the image on to a dvd-r.
