I have the 5G 30GB model. I'll admit I wasn't expecting much in the way of results when I did the full discharge and recharge, but as I said my battery life did increase after doing it and it is still performing well.

Anyone know where to sell my iPod Video for $285. Only been used 2 weekes about 5 hours of use and I got about 10-15 videos loaded on it. I dont want to sell it on ebay because they charge like 10% so i will actually be getting a bout $260 out of the $300. Any Ideas. Desperte for Nano.

ebay's the best suggestion online. I don't think you'll get 285 dollars for it if you plan to be truthful about the state that it is in...

you dont really need the stupid backlight on ALL the time i have mine off. if its light out or im in a well lit room videos look good without it! use the light when u need it it is the main battery killer. i watched 6 hours of straight movies and batt had just gone into red zone. best thing to do is drain the battery fully THEN charge it after all, Lithium Ion and Nickel Cadmium batteries will use up that charge very quickly then continue to drain from where its last full good charge was. i notice this very much with my laptop and portable dvd players. the portable music players have advanced a lot but batteries havent... live with it
