IHoe, I tried to do this using the nero express way (which failed.. I could get as far as clicking on "Options" but then there was no "Book Type Settings" as an option.)
I also tried to change it by DVD Decrypter, but once I got to the part where I click on my burner and do the "Change For" it says that it failed.

I'm thinking it must be a problem with my burner? Sorry, I'm very technically challenged... maybe I need to say goodbye to this one and put in a new one.

They're nothing special... Sony DVD-R 16X 4.7GB disks. BUT they're the only disks I've really ever used and they worked fine until recently.

@ IHoe, I'm still trying to find out what my burner is :) I told you I was technically challenged LOL

soz, hadn't finished off my reply, was doing some stuff. if you'd have said you were using some crappy discs and we'd have seen various media ID codes in the dvd identifier, i'd understand the burner having a fit but if it's moaning about Sony coded discs i'm wondering if the burner is on it's last legs..

Well if that's the case I can't say I'm too disappointed (besides the fact that I'm a nursing student and have no extra $$$) BUT I'd really like to get a lightscribe burner :)

Can't pass anything by on you Creaky. That burner sounds awesome. I want it :)

Can anyone tell me how hard it would be to put it in myself?

Okay, I bought some Sony DVD+R disks and my first movie burned with no problems. Once it was finished, I tried to burn another disk.... Nero wasn't responding and I had to reboot. After that, my second movie burned. I guess it's not perfect, but it's better than nothing.
