Hi, sorry about my ignorance should have started reading in the first place! ok so i have looked around and read around and have finally got a game working!! i played lumines, a pretty crap game in my opinion lol anyways, i downloaded an ISO of GTA but it was over 1gig and i only have a 1gig mem card so from the help of psp-hacks i downloaded a shrinker YAUS or someing and it made it about 800MB which was ok, so now i try playing it with UMDEMULATOR and DEVHOOK but nothing works? it either just freezes or the PSP turns off?!?
Any help?

Use the MPH Game Loader. Check out this guide. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/334952

Hiya mate that seems a biut complicated! any somehow, GTA just loaded up dont ask me how, it just did not evertime i open DEVHOOK it plays! coolio! only one thing thats troubling me now, is that the game is really stuttery, every 5 seconds, theres like lag/slowdown really annoying i dont think i can play with that! anyone know the problem? is it because of the demo UMD disc i am using?

Yea, if you can read and follow directions, it's really easy.

Clock the processor to 333mhz to see if GTA doesn't skip anymore. I'm not sure if it'll help.

It's definetly not because of the Demo Disc though.

you dont need MPHloader - just use devhook with 2.5 selected

i always use this setup

UMDMOUNT -> ISO ANYUMD
UMD VERSION -> 2.xx -> 2.00
Firmware -> 2.5
CPU CLOCK -> 222mhz
BOOT SELECT -> Reboot XMB

also a thing to note - simple iso compression technique added

I know he doesn't but it was the only guide I could give to him without me having to explain how to get Devhook and GTA to work.

it might be the way you compressed it - highler compression means psp needs longer to read the files

try my compression method now included in the guide

i think when i was messing about with GA i pressed home and it took me to...home lol but obviously the homepage had the extra stuff taht version 2.5 has due to devhook emulating it, do you think that if i inserted an original UMD that requires 2,5 then, it would play fine?
im only asking because the maximum i can have at one time on the memory stick is probs 2! And the fact that GTA is 800mb means i can only have one!

no it will load the iso - you selected - not the game
