Well, a dodgey sfo confuses the PSP, and when it's confused, it does not know what to do, but shut down. So, if a downgrader could confuse the PSP like the exploit, a dgrader may come in the future.

it might not even be an exploit cos it shuts down thats it all that happens is it resets itself and hoe did u make this program

Yer, somebody might be able to use this as a exploit.
hopefully they will bring out a 3.30/3.40 dg because i know somebody who needs one

good work, i hope wat youve discovered leads to something
it may lead to a downgrader if the psp is weirded out and bugs out shutting itself down, that could be the chance to load some code or something. keep us posted on updates cause im really anxious to see the 3.30/3.40 downgrader to hook up my lil cousins psp's with some awesome xmb customization

At least SOMEONE thinks it'll lead to a dgrader. if a dgrader could confuse the psp like the exploit, there might be a dgrader.

ok so i fiddled around with this pbp. i extracted the sfo. and recompiled some eboots by combining it with some .psp .psar files from other homebrew files. as well as some from official psp updates. well the story is.. this is no more than a dodgy sfo file. when i launched the new file it loaded to the psp startup screen. then it went black. after a few seconds it loaded back to the XMB and said the game could not be started. well i dont think theres much to be done here. but maybe a more experienced programmer than my novice attemps could crack something. but dont get your hopes up. good work on the exploit though. at least we know sony didnt block every hole
3.4 sucks

this thread is not worthless. he has found something valid. and its not a rebooter. the only reason it reboots is because it has no data files in the eboot. its just and icon and an SFO file. which is a paramater boot file wich gives the psp info about the disc. its basically a blank UMD if you will
