EVGA 8800GTS 640mb - Low FPS!

    I have everything on max but soft shadows off and I never go below 60.

    The 640MB version is far better, since in some games, 500MB of video memory isn't enough. 320 would certainly see you a little short.

    Stop giving him misconbobulated info, the 320 and 640 version are pretty much the same..he wont see any huge or slight noticable improvement just by getting the 640MB version. He should just get the 320MB version which is cheaper.

    lol thanks dude but i already have the 640mb version, but i just realised that the spec on the BFG version is faster, is BFG faster than EVGA?

    He isn't giving him bad information. You need more memory if you want to turn up he details, because then you have to store more textures and such. Get your facts straight before you go an attack someone.

    Indeed, the 640MB could run Quake 4 on ultra detail fine, where the 320MB would struggle.
