The RS232 will not work , you need the NULL MODEM CABLE as it has a crossover config

pandoo1 ,
hi there, from the photo in the link, u would still have to get the other cable.
The pictured cable has male connectors, what we need are female db connectors. The euro has male connectors, hence the need for female to female connectors. Make sure NULL aswell
hope that helps, and good luck
Peace,
RedEyeZ

Hi all, Installed this beta firware and have it running for two days. No problems at all. Widescreen is nice and picture seems clearer. Thanks Sc0user.

Where are the firmware updates (including BETA) originating from?
For me, true widescreen was the main missing feature - I'll try the new BETA firmware tonight. What's the ETA for the final release ?
Is there a wish list of features that users would like to see implemented in future revisions of firmware?
e.g. more favourite groups, more characters for channel names

Do you have a live digital feed? Where are you location and what provider are you on. I presume you have the cable in the RF in socket.

Hi
I'm new to the Euro Vox Max V and I'm having trouble loading the channels.
The screen says 'channel not currently available'
When I select powerscan (290 - 500 mhz 6887) it appears to find 'something' as the quality rate goes to 85%. However, when the system returns to the user installation screen there are no channels or tps listed.
Please help! What am I doing wrong?

Depends wheter your pc/laptop has a 9 way serial connection if it does you only need the null moem cable. If it does not you will need both cables as you will then use your USB port.
