also tell me how to find out what version of ps2 i have...all i can tell u is that i bought it like 2 or 3 months after the first ones arived on the market, so i paid $300 for it and it's never given me troubles and that's why i don't want to solder anything to it thank u

also i forgot i have a lite-on 4x dvd burner and i would like to know what is the best and cheapest software for backing up my games i already have the 321 studios dvd xpress to back up my dvds so i don't want a dvd software just one for the ps2 games, and even if there is a freeware ps2 backup software i'd like to know

Is it ok to use the iso file more than once, or do you need to read a disc each time you need to burn it?

You can burn an ISO image as many times as you like allgoodh !!

i think that i have a version 4 ps2 the serial number is u3144642 and the model number is scph 30001, and i heard that there exists modchips that i don't have to solder, i'd like to know what they are and where to find these. please help...thanx to all who help

you can look at my FAQ page which is stickied on this section at the top which will tell you all about the different modifications and what versions they go with. If you have a version 4, which you probably do, its very common, you can get a version 4 no solder chip (lol its all in the name), which i can hook you up with for cheaper than any site if you're interested. there are plenty of no solder options, so dont get discouraged. :)

my dvd decrypter does not read or write to any thing other than cdr or cdrws i checked in the menu capabilitys when i right ckick on the slot for my destination drive how do you get yours to copy to dvd+r or dvd-r.i jjust checked and my version is up 2 date please respond

Open DVD Decrypter , go to :

Tools / Settings... / Registry / check the box DVD [aswell as any other file extensions you may want added] then click OK
