golass, thank you very much for your last bit of info re: v1.4. It IS working very well .. on "THE BOX" - updated to 150% then click,
on Starview 1- 20% then click. So its working I think, don't you agree. I hope that its working just as well for you.

Nice one,my Starvi*w 2 started blocking last night,and was gone this morning,done the emu and set default key and it's ok now,but for how long?Living in Cork and getting Cho*ous and was told last night the silver boxes(my type)are going to be targeted for a serious scramble,which looks like it's happening.Mine was pre flashed and worked away since october 07,after paying for itself a few times over but would like to get another bit from it yet. Great site for info,top class. Will be back for more no doubt.

Hi, I wonder if anyone else has encounterd this latest problem .... I'm using Starview box 1 & have input latest codes which worked fine until today .... all TV channels have now disappeared from Favorites menu and epg .... only radio channels available. Would apprciate any comments and/or steps needed to return to full operation .... thanks in advance

hi i have a starview box and not a clone my problem while trying to put the codes in manually over the last few weeks is changing from 01 to 00 and storing the codes.as soon as i store say the code for 00 and go to 01 i lose the code and also wont change from oo to 01 i have tried switching on and off but still the same, im quite usefull fixing problems with starview but this has me baffled. anyone out there with same problem that mabey you fixed . thanks

Sounds silly, but press the TV/RADIO button, just to the left of the 0. Apologies if you have already tried that.

Listen guys , even if you have Crypstar v1.4 updated firmware, you may be subject to an interruption of signal anyway. This is usually of short duration, and typically once only. It happened today when I was coming home from work this evening I asked when I got home at what level did it come back at .. ans: approx 500%. It has overall improved the codes problem but not completly, until a more robust and somewhat radical variant can be found. So this is just a thought I'd share with you.
But anyway its very very good... and just another thought..whose cable are you using anyway.

Don't turn the Starview box off at all. Don't leave it on standby either. It needs to be on to update codes. That's why it went to 500%.
