Shrink and DVD Decrypter worked fine for Book of Secrets

They do on the R5 release ;)

These others.. no problems. Easy peasy.

Sounds like different encryptions for different regions and subregions.

If it wasnt for bad luck, Id have no luck!

I've been trying out the new 30 day trial of dvdfab, attempting to cut out the need for vobblanker while still retaining menu functionality.

I used the customize option in dvdfab platinum to keep only the menu and main movie, then I cleaned it with fixvts. The file opens fine on my pc and the menu and scene selection works, there was one glitch however. When selecting the first scene or just hitting play in the menu the opening scene with the castle and fireworks seems to lag and stutter while the play time clock continues normally.

I then reverted back to the main movie rip/clean process and the opening scene plays fine. As of now has any one successfully ripped the full movie or menu and main movie with dvdfab? I can see anydvd being successful, but ripitforme? Wouldn’t this point to a glitch in dvdfab?

does this skip that part of the movie?

It works just fine. There are a few blank titles in this one that's causing problems.

I was trying out the Platinum version with OPTIONS since I havent purchased it yet. Do you recommend using HD Decrypter instead?

I even tried the rip with HDD, run through Fixit, and then to Shrink and preview shows only a green screen and comes up an error. Ive been reading my butt off for 6 hours, trying everything and now Im stuck...ugh

Since you should already own the commercial release, just back it up with Main Movie.

After downloading and trying slysoft and shrink I had no success with Untraceable, but I did have success with DVDFab Express!!! Version 2.9.8.3 and Shrink. This version even worked with Ratatioulle and couple others.

I'm going to try it with National Treasure 2

Sometimes the old software can still work!!! So don't always upgrade and think you have to get rid of the older version.
