What do you mean running in the background?
Just have it launched but not burning or ripping?

^^ Did you do the entire disc or just the main movie?
Whatever is the latest stable version released for customers is what I have. I tried ripping the disc today before work but it didn't work. I couldn't play with it since I had to leave.

Ran Anydvd in back ground. Then started Ripit4me in 1-click mode, Full disc had no problems

I tried DVD Shrink (redundancy error). Then DVD Fab 5 (stopped at 3%). Both did not work. Then installed the trial version of AnyDVD and tried DVD Fab 5 again and it went all the way successfully (albeit a little slow).
It ain't easy being a Noob.

Actually I just got the newest DVDFAB and clonedvd 2 to do the entire disc. No problems ... the only problem was when I tried useing the clone DVD option to try and do it. When I used the copy dvd title option it worked fine. So go figure.

Best Regards,

So for now, the only solutions are in this thread.

After failing with most everything else, the Beta version of DVDFab did get me to 98.10% before failing. Unfortunetly, my trial of AnyDVD is also over.

By the time I get semi-pro (the place I ordered mine from sent me the rated version instead of the unrated version) hopefully dvdfab will have the new update ready.

Here is the answer for full disc !
Yes, sir. This is what worked.
After Ripit4me finished, I opened up VOBB to omit the rated version of the movie (in addition to the non-related trailers), After all was said and done, the final product was only 3.5 gigs. No compression is fine by me!
Thanks for the tip, nostorey!

I use dvd shrink to rip and nero to burn. After opening the file in shrink, it's WAY too big...usually when that happens, I can omit french and spanish and that makes it small enough...but that's not the case here....any idea why its too big and what I can do about it...( anydvd is running in the backround)
Thanks

If you have a clean rip, you will still have 2 movies. One widescreen and one fullscreen. Pick 1 and you will not need to shrink.

The only thing I know how to do Is omit some of the audio...I also know how to reauthor it...but i'm afraid if I reauthor it I won't be able to include the extras and the main menu??

Open file ripped with shrink via vob blanker. Create new file (as semi-pro ws vobb in c drive) Blank out the larger file that is 4:3 (fullscreen), then process, select the file u just created as target(output file). Now after vobb has done it's job, shrink new output file(semi-pro ws vobb)(ie backup). Thats it
If it wasnt for bad luck, Id have no luck!
