By the way, do you see how many people here "confronted" nobrainer? Has he come back yet to reinstate anything he said previously? Hmmm, no he hasn't. Soon, you might just see nobrainer spamming the gaming area at aD, and where else but the PS2/3 section...

By the way, I don't know about any of you but I was on my way to playstation.com and noticed something funny. After clicking on North America on the choose region page, the front page images didn't load quick enough. I caught a text that said "PS3 Failures" then the usual SOCOM Confrontation/Secret Agent Clank came up. Can anyone else confirm this? Or was I seeing things?

I wouldent say so, Oner that had the most patience of all people that was arguing so far with him, have proven many times that nobrainer is misinforms and twist the facts.
I cant recall the topic, but not long time ago he posted a part of sony news from 2005!!!even before PS3 release, and he twisted it to death, oner proved it.

I did the 2.40 update when it was released, i dont have any issues except a demo that was paused in download list and i had to re download it.
The new features are good in general (useless for me), but couldn't they just add a video playlist or a function to automatically play next video in folder? How hard can this be?

The next person, regardless of status on this site, who confronts an individual member in one of MY NEWS ARTICLES, is getting a ban, cut the childish stuff out, if you don't agree with someone then post something to back up your thoughts, if not I don't care how you feel about that other member, keep it out of my news or you will receive a ban, I hope I am being clear enough.

I would also like to ask, politely of course, that the moderating team refrain from posting in my news articles, unless you have to explain what is being done as a moderator.

So has anyone heard a time frame for which the trophies should be added for other titles? I know the developers are responsible.. but I can't find a developer that has given a date yet.

I take it as I am one of those who updated to 2.40 successfully that I don't need to apply 2.41 ?

If you have 2.40, it takes about 2 minutes to download 2.41

Hi all, im not very clued up on computers, albeit that i play games on it. can some one explain to me what the new firmware for the ps3 will do and what is all this talk about trophies, can some one explain it to me please.

and can anybody tell me if there is a patch/download to make fifa 08 compatable with the dual shock 3.

When not playing a game or movie, the XMB "cross media bar" is what is displayed. This gives you access to pictures, music, videos that you have stored on your PS3 or on your media server. It also gives you access to Pairing Blue Tooth devices, Display settings, Audio Settings, Messaging etc... Before 2.40 / 2.41 all of these things and more were only available when not playing games or watching movies. NOW when playing a game, you can press the PS button and bring up the XMB and control these things. Some games will or wont allow you to play music while playing the game.

Trophies, complete most of the challenges in a game and get a bronze trophy, most all = Gold, all = Platinum. Not many games support this now. More to come. These trophies will be visible to any friends that you have on the PS3 network.

Downloaded 2.4 last week and downloaded 2.41 yesterday. All works good. No reports of problems with 2.41. Your safe.

my bluetooth not working after the update and the pings are going high the update not a good thing

Odd, a lot of people are reporting alot better internet speeds. It might be that sony swapped some ports or changed some settings that don't jive with your router.

2.41 update like i said mess the blutooth up it would work for one game and shut off and pings would fly through the roof and i called sony and they told me to reformat my ps3 and still did not help then they told be call jabra ask if they had update for the mic because now there not compaitable jabra said sony going to come out with their own bluetooth.

Then again it could just be that game, have you tried other games. did you get the same problem?

if you can, try doing this. try putting your PS3 in the DMZ.
then try-out the game in witch is be questioned.

ihave all the ports opened the router is shared with the computer the ps3 is feeding wireless i have never had a problem till now the game is warhawk online game i bought plug in usb mic no problems there but i dont like cords

I don't like Cords either?_?. Try another game, thats all i can tell you.If you can set up your router again, reset it. I reset mine every two weeks.

Anyways what came first High Ping or botched Mic? a high Ping can botch the VOIP over any game. That Being said. hear are things that could narrow down your current problem

What ISP are you with?
What are your plans with this ISP(Data Rate Ex. 2Mbits UP 4Mbits down)?
Current Wireless standard your using(Ex.802.11B, 802.11G)?

Or try Hooking your PS3 directly to the Internet. Play the game see if you notice any difference.
