Calmdown, You must have 2 paritions. No matter, when you open shrink make sure the path for your temp files are to you C drive. Also if your using Decrypter, when you click "backup!" in shrink, change the target destination to ISO Image File.
Calmdown, As far as using Shrink. This is how I use it with DVD Decrypter. 1) Open Shrink, then open disc 2) Cllck "backup!" 3) Change Target Destination to "ISO Image File", then check the box to Launch DVD Decrypter 4) Click Ok Remember to run no other programs. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Dell 8250, Pentium 4 2.80GHz 1.5 GB RDRAM, 200GB HD TDK 840G, Sony DDU-1612 DVD-ROM XP Pro, ATI All-In-Wonder 9000 Pro Gateway 450, Pentium III 450MHz 384 MB SDRAM, 160GB HD NEC 2100A, LiteOn LTD-163 DVD-ROM XP Home, 16MB nVidia RIVA TNT[/small]
Hmmm ... in your first post you said you'd already burned 4 DVDs but now you're asking how to burn them? So in your first post, did you really mean you had just "burned" them to your hard drive (which is not the correct usage of the word "burn" so I put it in quotes)? This would also explain why you're running out of disk space. As several people noted, you should be deleting the files from your hard drive after burning the DVD-R (or DVD+R) disc -- if you don't do this, you'll run out of space very quickly. Anyway, as for burning -- check the guides on this site for info on various programs to use (Nero, DVD Decrypter, etc.). DVD Shrink doesn't burn the disc (it just rips/encodes it, putting the files onto your hard drive), so you have to use another program to do the burning. Did you get a burning program with your external DVD burner? (EG mine came with RecordNow, which I use all the time without a problem by copying the video_ts and audio_ts onto a "data" disc.) DVD Decrypter is free; many people on these forums have used it with great success -- I haven't tried it yet since I have RecordNow. Another option is to download Nero for a free 30-day trial. I used Nero's demo version with a lot of success until I figured out that the software that came with my DVD burner worked for DVD back-ups as well as my home-made DVDs. So anyway, the sequence is (1) use DVD Shrink to put the files on your hard drive; (2) use a burning program (Nero or Decrypter) to burn the files (a single .iso file OR a bunch of files in two folders, audio_ts and video_ts --actually the audio_ts file is always empty, don't ask me why) to a DVD disc; (3)check the disc in a regular DVD player (not your computer); and (4) if the burned DVD is OK, which it USUALLY will be if you get a "successful burn" from your burning program, then DELETE THE FILES from your hard drive to free up space for your next DVD. Hope this helps. BTW you might consider a more descriptive thread title than "error." Good luck!!
i know, but the 4 dvds that i burnt on to blank dvds, how can i burn them again,do i still use shrink even though i used it to burn the other ones
You can use the original disks. Or use Nero if you created video_ts file(which was answered in your other thread about the same issue), or you can use Decrypter or Nero to burn the ISO image created.
because you used shrink to rip, the css has been removed and the disc is no longer dvd9 Use nero disc to disc copy Or Use dvd decryptor iso read iso write You do not need to use shrink again .....why a you making a copy of a copy anyway???
