    Hauppauge WinTV-PCI FM / TV Tuner / Capture C&S Video PCI

    im after buying this item..
    all i want to know if i add this to my pc can i capture old vhs and put them to my pc to burn to disc...

    Yes...and no...
    You can capture VHS with it, but only to avi format.
    You will have to then encode the files to mpeg-2 and author them to dvd...unless you have a player that can also play divx.

    im not concerned bout the avi thing i can convert to dvd with dvd santa couldn't i..

    If dvd santa encodes avi to mpeg then yes.
