sony dvd rw dru-530a firmware

    i went to the sony site and d/l "530a_21g" the newest firm ware for my sony dvd re dru-530a and i am having trouble installing it.
    i click on it and it tells me i must restart the pc b4 installation starts so i do that and teh same message pops up ,i restarted about 6 times b4 i gave up
    help!!!!! PLEASE

    yer i just got the new firm it works fine on mine, make sure you don't have a disk in when ur upgrading. type sony dru-530a firmware into Google and then download it from the sony site close all your programs then it should work on the restart, check if it has already upgraded in the drives properties. Hope this has helped
