first, i've had people explain what this is, and they've all had limited information about it. So i'm here asking for the straight forward jist of it.

This is what i heard... is it true and if there is any more info, i would like to hear it:

Flashing the xbox allow playing of backed up games.

    Flashing prevents any online gaming.

Does the xbox still need to have a mod chip to work with the flash. I'm told it doesn't but i'm double checking my information. Anything info would help here..

    Thanks in advance

Flashing the xbox allow playing of backed up games:
    - An xbox can be modified to that extent by installing a chip or by way of soft mod. The flashing of course refers to flashing the BIOS of the method you've chosen. (i.e. Xecuter 3 Chip)

    - There are other ways to play online if you have a modded xbox. For example, XB Connect and X-Link Kai are strong abilities. I have an X3 Chip and Control panel with the ability to turn off my chip and access XBOX Live but I honestly would not recommend it. I won't go into why, but there are other threads that explain the issues concerning this for gamers.
