Hello. I've recently started tinkering with DVD players, and I was given a fairly knew Sony DVD player with a burned out resister on the power board, which of course means it won't turn on. I want to repair, and replacing the power board is an easier solution then trying to sodder a new resister into place. Just out of curiosity, I tried swapping the boards out of a KOSS and an Apex in order to patchi t back together, and the power pins are off. The KOSS plug is no where near big enough, and the Apex is two pins off.

What I want to know is: Do all Sony DVD players, or at least all "DVP" models use the same power board?

The player is a "DVP-NS725P" if that helps.

    Thanks in advance
