need help buying external dvd-r

    i need some help i want to buy a external dvd-r and dvd+r burner i want to know which dvdr- and+ burner is the best one to get

    in not sure, so correct me if im wrong, but they dont make dvd-r and dvd+r burners in one drive. And another thing, unless you have firewire or usb2.0, then external burning drives are pretty worthless. You are a lot better to go with an internal drive.

    Sony DRU-500A, DRU-500AX, and DRU-500UL will support DVD-R/W and DVD+RW. DRU-500UL is the external drive. I believe DRU-500UL is both i.Link and USB 2.0.

    if you want to buy an external, go right ahead. i would still suggest going with an internal drive.
