Is it possible to back up a copy protected DVD using my DVD+R DL burner, Plextor 716A? Looked in the guides and everything concerns backing up to DVD R. I was hoping to use the increased memory to eliminate all compression on the backup.

    Hi jesse3000, welcome to aD,

Your PC's memory has nothing to do with backing up a DVD without compression.

Using a DL disc allow you to make a perfect 1:1 copy of any commerical DVD. Using almost any program and setting the disc size to DVD-9 will allow you to do what you want.

Programs like DVD Decrypter OR DVD Shrink will work just fine and both, of course, are FREE.
