I have a laptop w/DVD-ROM and a desktop with a DVD burner. I would like to burn info from my laptop to my desktop and also play the DVD from the laptop and burn it on the desktop. Help!!! How do I do this? Also I'm using Windows 2000 on the desktop and XP on the laptop, if that makes a difference.
Use the cord that connects into your ethrenet adapter the the old pc and go into network conncetions and network them
i'm no expert but i have networked my computer. i would suggest that you network your computers. i would think to burn files from the other computer make sure the folder that the files are in is accessible; right click on it and go to sharing and security and enable sharing, then just click and drag. to watch movies i usually just use a simple program like windows media player; select all the files and right click on the first one and open with windows media player. to burn dvd files just burn or copy it from the other computer through sharing files. the dvd files might be too big to transfer and will take a while, try to compress it with winrar or something.
