I have just got an xbox dont know weather i should say ive always had a ps2 but there ya go.. Its chipped and ive got 2 games i want to put on hd.. managed to put 1 on hd.. but not enough room 4 other 1 been looking at software that has been installed on the xbox and dont hav a clue what to keep and what not to.. can any1 give me a clue i darnt touch anything on it incase i bugger it...thanx
Its best really to install a larger hard drive or get someone to do it for you. There are certain programs and utilities you can delete but this will not make enough free space.
Guess i will have to look the programs up on net to check what they are 4... Getting another hd is a good way round it thanx but i do need to work out what is what, so i can clean xbox up there is some stuff on there i dont think is software just net junk but not sure yet will get some 1 who knows and can show me... Id like to say that I have placed most my apps and emulators on my C: drive, there is then enough room for one more game, also depends on the game. This will require some editing of the dash.ini file "evox.ini" or whatever... I have since upgraded my hard drive but it worked till then.
deleting some apps will not allow you to put another game on there...the apps are very small in size, will not free up enough space...just buy a large hd.
another problem i have.. sure you will no what it is whilst looking at the folders 6 of them in all... f folder says error 3 beside it can ya help me with this please.....will buy another hd in time but was looking for a cheep way around it ..as ya do...ps,,how big are hd
You can get hard drives that range from 20gb to hundreds of gigabytes. Shop around although maxtor and seagate seem to be the best for xbox.
