I just burned a mr. and mrs. smith vcd and the nero burning rom didn't allow me to burn it with a 4x speed, (the slowest speed was 8x) so i burned it on 8x and now the movie image is slower than the audio that is playing. It looks weird. Please can anyone help me out here?

It sounds to me like it's not Nero thats the issue but your CD burner. Certain brands of cd/dvds only burn at certain speeds on certain models of burners with certain firmware verisons, in my experience. Mabey your burner needs a firmware upgrade. Check on your CD burners manufacturer website and see if they have an upgrade for your model.

As for the audio and video being out of sync, Nero's burning rom wouldn't have anything to do with that. Is the audio in sync when you play it on your computer?

yea, i agree...doesnt have to do w/ nero ... you should make sure that the quality of the movie that you *probably* downloaded is good to begin with; also, when you're burning, you should pretty much close all other programs.

what nero are you using? nero 6 ultra works well for my generic external burner...
    what burner?
what type of media (CDs) ?

You may have used the wrong settings , ntsc or pal. If wrong the lipsync will be out.Nero usualy warns you first if you are on the wrong settings. (unless you ticked dont ask me again when told the first time)

I'm confused --- are you burning from vcd to dvd, or vcd to vcd?
