I was looking into modding my friend's XBOX...and we cannot find an Action Replay for the budget we have anywhere. I was wondering, would it be possible to simply hook up the XBOX to the PC, and FTP the save to it? Otherwise, if someone could point me in the direction of a $20 or less Action Replay, that'd be great.
Yes, it is possible, if you have your Xbox softmodded or chipped.... I am not sure on where to buy Action Replay, but why not look into the DuoX chip, it only costs $20. I guess if you don't have any soldering equipment and no experience it would be a little difficult to install, but it is relatively easy in my opinion.
Don't have any soldering experience, heh. Even if the XBOX isn't softmodded, shouldn't it be recognized? Or is there any other way I can transfer the save? Say, using a pen drive or something?
Not sure who you're talking to, but to continue: Being [bold]smart[/bold] doesn't mean you're a nerd. After it's softmodded, I guess, you use a standard crossover cable to connect it via ethernet. You can then use just about any FTP program to access it. I should think that you would be able to access when it isn't softmodded, but I guess I'm wrong...
You can't FTP into an Xbox unless it is modded in some way, softmod or chipped..sorry if you took my post the wrong way...not sure where you would find Action Replay for that price...wait try the B/S/T on Xbox-Scene.com You might have better luck there
I'm a nerd because I know that you need to softmod or chip an Xbox in order to FTP to it? Well, anybody that knows just a tad about Xbox modding knows that. You wanna see some nerds, go onto http://www.xbox-scene.com forums and you'll meet some of them there...
you can make a usb adapter that plugs right into your pc for extremly cheap, i can make one for you if it is absoulutly necissary but i will need you to give me a few bucks for parts and shipping(not very much)
