K the camera i got has a audio vido hook up (yellow and white) and a svideo. The card i got is a 9600 radion with just tv out. Now i think i got a extra slot for another card. Do i put a card in that spot to capture the home videos? if so ill take a cheap card but a good one, dunno if thats possible. And i need a editing software i wanna slice and splice, add audi , titles , more effect etc.. Make like a little movie for my son he is 5. Any help will do

Yes, you need a capture card in that slot.
Most come with some decent software, that will do the editing you want.
For titles, extra audio tracks, and more effects, you'll need a more advanced editor and authoring application.
