xbox to pc connection

I am trying to connect my xbox to my pc using a crossover cable.In the final stages I get an FTP Error message."Windows cannot access this folder.Check file name and you have permission to access this folder.The server name or address could not be rsolved".Does anyone out there know what this means.I would like to fix this problem.
