hey .. i do that all the time .. all you need it to connect a wire from the Ethernet card on your Pc to the xbox ... and put the same Ip's as your PC but change the last number in the IP the xbox will be part of your network ... and if you wanna transfer files you will need to download a program called FXftp .. search for it on google .

then you can easly browes your files from your PC i do that to watch movies and animation (anything on my PC ) if you need help e-mail me at imm_84@hotmail.com

if you have evolution x just connect the ethernet cable to your router and then gt any FTP program. ( i prefer FlashFXP). Turn on your Xbox on the top right hand side it should have been assigned an IP address.. open up your FTP program and go to the quick connect section and put in the ip address seen on your Dash. the user and pass should by default be xbox : xbox it will connect and you would be able to see whatever is on you xbox drives and its partitions. hell you oculd even use internet explorer to connect to your xbox using the following format ftp://xbox:xbox@"yourxboxipinhere" just put it your box's ip without the quotes and you could connect

i hoped i helped you out PEACE
