hi - i am new to dvd2one - i been using shrink and decryptor and dvdclone 2 and workes fine - i like to try dvd2one since i hear that it works better for the picture - but i am not sure - which compression do i choose to make it come out as good as shrink etc. - do i leave it on constant or variable or selective mode - ?? whats the difference and how much of a difference is there between the modes of compression
i usually do just the main movie and a few audios - english and spanish mostly - it is hard to tell with no preview - but i like to give it a try and see what a burn with dvd2one shows comppared to shrink
any help with whats the best way to get the best guality - also how do you know which title to choose with you have a dvd like - hide and seek which has 5 main movie titles ??
    thanks

yes dvd2one is great but, you already have shrink and dvdclone 2, those are as good as dvd2one. save your money.

thanks - i think they are very good also - but i read on here that dvd2one was better for picture guality - i like to know if thats really true and how it compares to shrink and clone 2 - but also whats the difference with the compression options on dvd2one ? i am not sure which option to pick for the best picture - also i belieave you pick low for selective mode ? is that the right one to pick if you do just the main movie or do you pick med. or high -- i would think high if you do the full movie - i just did hide and seek - with variable compression and selective mode - that dvd has 5 main titles ?? when i put it thur shrink to check it - its over 8,000 mb the main movie -- i have to burn it to disk and see how the picture is - i will use a RW disk to be safe - so i guess i like to know - how to use the compression and what selective mode do i pick - and do you know if dvd2one does work better than shrink and clone2 for quality --
    thanks - :)

no better, just the same. others say that shrink and dvdclone2 are better. i believe they all produce the same quality.

variable compression is best in my opinion. Variable compresses more in parts of the movie with not much fast motion. Compresses less in high action scenes....therefore you are getting good compression and quality all in one.

Constant just compresses at the same rate throughout the film

Here is a link that shows the different compression settings.

I disagree with elizerroj.. I dont think dvd shrink is even in the same ballpark with dvd2one.
Clonedvd might be close, but I think dvd2one handles larger amounts of compression better than clonedvd.

    my 2 cents
