I have recently bought a pair of computer speakers for my PC and they have ran pretty good. My good friend has a package of speakers that include a pair of speakers and a sub for his PC. This got me thinking if I buy that package that includes the sub and speakers to make a type of simulated surround sound environment for my TV, but I am asking if I do do this, will I lose clearity and quality? And will it be worth the cash I shell out for it?
losing clarity and quality depends on what you're starting with and what you're going to. See if you can get your friend to bring his speakers over to your place and try them out on your pc and see for yourself if the difference is worth the price.
You should look into some of klipsch multimedia computer speakers, what are you looking for ? 2.1 or 5.1 sound? if 2.1 i would recommend highly the promedia 2.1's http://klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=103 they will blow away another computer speaker system in the 100-150 dollar range. If you want 5.1 get the Promedia 5.1 Ultra's, they are very good, one of my friends has one and it rivals his dad's bose liftstyle 38 system(which is like 1,500 or 2k).The ultras are about 350$'s at bestbuy, i beleive they sell at compusa and other electronic's stores. http://klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=712 Definatly check out thoes links anyone who is looking for computer speakers/entry HT speakers.
