I am trying to copy 8mm video camera tapes to DVD.When using Cyber link POWER VCR II, the video is fine before I hit record, but, when I record, the picture goes black and white with red and blue "blotches" all over the screen. If I hit search for a second on the camera, it clears up the picture untill the next scene, then it goies to shit again!!!!!
Any ideas as I have a mate with a different capture card, different camera (both 10yrs old)but same problem.Tried changing profiles to mpeg 1,2,excelent,basic etc. but no difference.
    Thanks in advance.

First off I wouldn"t use "Cyberlink power VCR" because the Program is very Old (About 4+ years old) and it"s Quality isn"t that good and It doesn"t keep Very Good Audio and Video sync....

I would suggest you try maybe "InterVideo winDVR 3.0" as it is one of the Better Mpeg-2/DVD Capture programs....

What Type of Capture Card are you useing ???

And what are your PC"s specs??

    Cheers

    Computer specs:
    P-4 2.6ghz
    Win XP
    Gigabyte motherboard
    512 DDR 333 Ram
    40g master & 80g slave hdd
Geforce 5200 fx 128gb video card
    On board sound
V-Gear My TV 2 Radio capture card

I'll do a search for InterVideo winDVR 3.0 and see if I can download it.
I thought it might be a compatability problem from the camera. As I said, my mate has a similar problem using different card and software??
I tried calling Asiamajor Inc(V-Gear) and they were bloody useless.
    Thanks
