dvd creation newbie

    Please can you suggest software for DVD creation. New to computing and have captured mini dv footage onto computer - What next ??

    there are inexpensive all-in-one programs, but for real professional options and quality, you could use adobe premiere to edit the videos, and adobe encore to author the DVD. You can get them bundled together online for around $500.

    If you're looking for something cheaper, there's all in one programs by Sonic, Sony, and Pinnacle you could try

    If you're using a Mac, their basic iMovieHD/iDVD package is quite easy to use and the results can look very professional. If you're ambitious, have the cash, and are willing to learn, move up to either Final Cut Express or Final Cut Pro for editing and DVD StudioPro for authoring. You'll also want a fast processor and plenty of hard disk space.
