well, my birthday is coming up on August 7 and my parents said i can get any mp3 player UP TO 200 dollars. so i researched a little on the web and found one i liked. The Zen Micro Specs: HD OR MEMORY:comes in 4($179) 5($199) 6($230) PRICE:above Features: includes FM RADIO, calander, etc.(all the features of the ipod + the FM radio.
That is the best IMHO go for it. But don't go for the 6gb one obviously since your spending MAX of $200
isnt that the coolest and best mp3 player youve ever seen, i love it, it took me 2 days to find the perfect one.
solargame, your siggy pic is killing me on dial-up, man. anywho, i got a Creative Zen Jukebox and i'm loving it. CZ products are great, and there's no doubt in my mind that gadget will serve you well for a long time to come. hope you get it soon and tell us how much you love it!
My cousin got a Creative MP3 player that has a built in antenna for listening to the radio and can even record off the radio or anything plugged into the MP3 player. If I'm not mistaken, the crappy ipod can't do that can it?
its just that the ipod came first and everyone saw how gtreat it was, its 2-3 years later technology has changed, the ipod has barely added any useful hardware add ons, just an overpriced oversized and overrated product. and kinza, ive heard the H10 is pretty good, they say its better than the ipod with the best sound quality available but everyone is too thick sculled to even consider something that might be a little better than the ipod. the ipod may be good, but the fact that the zen micro has a fm radio is unbeatable, an itrip for ipod costs like 50 bucks it cost WAY too much to fully upgrade your ipod with 3rd party products when other manufacters are selling them standard at a cheaper price.
[bold]CHECK out this amazing DEAL[/bold] a 30 GB for the price of a 5, no FM tuner though http://www.walmart.com/catalog/prod...=19&dept=3944&path=0:3944:133251:96469:132865
i had the archos gmini xs200 (20gb in the size of a matchbox) 10gblast week, but only for a few hours. the battery died and the hard drive (bless it, it was sooo tiny) went splat as i could hear the heads making a rythmic grinding noise. it was a used one, but a fantastic little gadget for the half hour that it worked. i was intent on buying the same player, but a new one if i could find one or a newer model. I did some googling and was dismayed that anything with a decent sized drive was still using standard hard drive technology - crap in this day and age as hard drives don't like being dropped/knocked etc. I guess it will be quite a while before mp3 players come with decent capacity on drives/sticks/whatever that have no/or fewer moving parts. So i did more googling and plumped for a Creative Zen Touch 20GB (£155 inc vat and shipping - sort of a bargain), it gets rave reviews and sounds real simple to use. it's being shipped to me tomorrow and i have about 450 albums that i've converted to MP3 to put on it already. Will just have to treat it with extreme kid gloves to protect the hard drive. i tried a new ipod mini , fantastic gadget but there's no way i'm shipping off my player once a year for battery replacement or using some service that checks what songs i have on my gizmo, no siree
Oh yeah forgot to mention another good one if you like Zen Micro but not the price, Muvo Micro. Smaller than Zen Micro 1gb space, all the features of zen micro but A LOT cheaper.
hey kinza, the archos gmini400 costs like 400 dollars becuase its a portable media player that plays movies music and some games, is that what you have?
i mean i can't afford a 270 dollar (or british pounds) mp3 player. it's costing me an arm and a leg (£155) for the player i'm buying
