Can someone give me an idiots guide to making gameplay videos.

I've got Xbox, DVDrec., VCR, Sony Vaio.

Right now i've come up against the Macrovision copy protection issue - so just hooking up to my DVD/VCR isn't working.

Any guidance/recommendations would be greatly appreciated - many thanks.

Most people use video capture cards and just pop their xbox into their video capture card instead into the TV. An example of a video cap card is the ATI All-in-Wonder Pro, but there are a lot.

Another way is if your xbox is modded, then you could try searching about the XDK. The XDK (Xbox development kit) is like a dashboard for your xbox which allows you to capture screenshots or take video directly from ingame footage, so the quality is probably the best and simplest solution. Although, since its illegal to host it, i don't know where you could get it, but you can find info in the usual places.
