Does anybody here know anything about networking?

    I recently bought the wireless adapter for my xbox so i could go on the internet and live at the same time...

    I was wondering since i have a wireless internet connection, how can i get it to connect. i have problems with it connecting and i was wondering if you need a router to get it to connect it says on the instructions, they keep saying use a router and i dont have a router...

    help plz

    Yes, you need a router to connect the wireless to the internet. Go to best buy and buy the LinkSys wireless router for $19.00 after rebates. then setup your wireless name on the router, then connect the wireless adapter to the router.

    alright its kinda wierd cuz i dont have a router and yet we can sitll go on our high speed internet and i can play live if i bring down the base station to my room and hook it up, can you give me some help.
    What do i connect the router to? the base station? and if so how would i get my internet?
