i watched gladiator yesterday and listen to this

Well, I caught something then that I hadn't before. Maximus said something about if your riding in a green field, you're in Elysium, and you're already dead. That rang a bell.

John apparently grew up in Elysium City. Upon looking this up on the internet, Elysium was a paradise where some Greek heroes were believed to go after death. Combine this with the fact that the project name is Spartan.... definitely some mythological stuff there. Except instead of Elysium being where he dies, it is where he is born...

 

I think we just have to wait till halo3, but i like that idea of Orbiter taking out graveMind and saving Cortana, as well i think one of the heros on halo3 will die, who?, Chief, Orbiter,Johnson,Miranda Keyes or all at once if halos get activated? Cast your vote.

 

in a way( not to offen ne one) i would like to see them all die because the ramifications of that are thatthere will be eternal peace in the galaxy. i am very torn,!! in another sense i would like to see th flodd wiped out and the covenant and humans become allies, although in halo 1 we were completely comvinced to hate the covenant, i can decide.

a halo 2.5 would be awesome, it wud definatly explain the bad ending of halo 2, its a huge cliffhanger, too many stories left in the air, one side shud have been finished, like if the arbitur went to complete his mission, and they left the mc at earth for halo 3, or vice versa, either way, thers a huge chunk of story line missing that has to be told, some of it if any, but we prolly wont be told anything from bungie or microsoft, but who knos what the whole "feb 9th" thing is about

 

just think how much it'd suck if halo 3 never came out.. wow that wud suck... the story left untold.. but i wish what feb 9th meant, is the "movie" coming out then? lol, or an announcment probably, but i kinda doubt if halo 3 wud b coming out that soon, it'd b awesome dont get me wrong, but it prolly b bad for halo sales, but a previous post said that at bestbuy halo 1 sales are high b/c ppl want to kno the story b4 halo 2... who knos.. its all a conspiracy.. haha

maybe feb 9 could be the release date of Halo 2 "custom edition" which some of u might know they did 4 halo 1 pc version. this would allow people to make thier own maps and play them and have the ability to pu A.I. into multiplayer...

Spartans are real, they wre put through extreme training since they were born. MC types are just called spartans because they are strong. Strong because he is part robot. well something is going to die since it is called final death, and since 1 halo has already been destroyed, it will have its final death, or since all the other spartans died, the spartan race will have its final death

Okay guys, here's what I'm thinking:

Retodd: You've got some interesting ideas, but destroying a sun? That's a little far-reaching don't you think? Only Jason Jones and his cronies know what's to come, and the history of Halo. Btw, who wrote the books?

halomania: To beat it on legendary, you almost have to have a 2nd player, that way if one dies the living player can flop around until the other is re-spawned. If you have to do it by yourself (like I do), you basically have to be like freakin Rambo, sneak attacking your brains out covert style. You will run out of ammo many, many times, so you can't be picky about which weapon you have, even the lame plasma pistol can be your best friend if everything else is depleted. Use the ranged weapons (sniper rife, covenant sniper rife) as much as you possibly can. Also if at all possible, throw a couple of grenades into whomever you are fighting and then dual-wield as much as possible, but don't fire at the same time until you are about to kill anyone hard (elites, brutes, etc.). Especially w/ the plasma rifles, b/c if one overloads you still have one to fire with. Don't be afraid to use the plasma sword until it is depleted, b/c it is easier to kill less enemies than more (if that makes sense). It does take a long time to complete each checkpoint, but have patience and save often. It may take you a month (or even longer) to beat it, but you can still do it.

T-Spartan: if you go back a few pages in the thread there are a couple of links of how to get the scarab gun, I haven't personally done it b/c it looks like a pain in the arse and I don't have time to do it right now (maybe over the weekend). There are written instructions, and a video of how the dude does it. While the scarab gun looks pretty sweet, my quesiton is do you get to keep it the rest of the game? Or just that level? Kinda lame if they make you give it up.

neo7333: dude, no way is xbox 2 gonna be released in feb. 2005, there would have been some notification by now. Gate's isn't just gonna suprise everyone like that...they'll show it at E3 this year and get everyone pumped up for it, maybe with a halo 3 trailer, maybe not.

I watched the bonus disc that came with the limited edition of Halo 2 last nite about the making of the game, and they were talking about how they wanted to do the game one way, but it just wasn't going to work they way they had planned so they had to start making a bunch of cuts/changes to the game. That is why we may not see it exactly as the trailers to the game had shown (ala the last scene where the MC fixes to throw the plasma grenade). Now they may have been talking about splitting it up into two games without us knowing it, but who knows. Ok guys, I should really be working right now, so lemme get back to it. Sorry for the long post.

PS. If you get to watch the Limited Edition dvd, the chick that does the voice of Cortana is kinda hot...

 

Also, I wish they had AI in multiplayer, then at least I could practice until I decide to go with xbox live...

 

My friend's dad works for IBM (they are making X-box2) and according to him, they are still in the design/testing phase. So we won't see x-box2 until early 2006 if we are lucky.

 

uhh, why would IBM be making "Microsoft's" xbox? Doesn't make much sense to me...

If someone decides to make a Halo trilogy, I hope they dont make the MC look like the games MC (with the armor and all)I think it would make it wicked cartoony and cheesy.
