When I put a blank DVD into my DVD burner, the PC crashes to a BSOD. It says something about an attach error. It goes by so quick I can't read it. It reboots and works fine when I load up nero and burn something. This is the first time it's done this. The only thing I can think of would be the IDE controllers. I looked and it says that I'm using SCSI/RAID controllers??? I don't have ansy SCSI devices or a raid config. I tried deleteing them but they come back up after a reboot. I tried installing the ALI IDE drivers version 1.9 but it seemed to not work. How do I get rid of the SCSI drivers so they will not reinstall? Could this be the reason for the BSOD??

I fixed my problem!!! What I did was uninstall the ALI ULTRA IDE controller which I guess was the SCSI one as it was gone from the device manager and THE primary and secondary IDE controllers popped in..My PC rebooted and all looked fine.. I inserted a blank DVD and guess what??? No crash.....Problem solved...
