Hi, I need some help. I have a liteon show 812s dvd burner and I am using nero 6.3.17 and I can not burn any dvd's successfully. I get at 33% then it stops and kicks them out. You need to edit out a couple of things in your post: First your Nero serial number. It is the number that starts with 1a23 near the top of the Nero log. Second is your e-mail address. The rules don't allow them. You may want to slow your burn speed down. Try 4X instead of 8X. Any other ideas on this. I found this thread doing a web search for that "File Writer.cpp, Line 304 Write error" message. The machine I'm attempting this on is a new Dell, the burner is a brand new Samsung, there are currently no firmware updates available for it. I have this same burner running beatifully in my own 5 year old Dell Dimension XPS. I've tried using media that I know works on my machine at the slowest possible speed, I've even swapping the drives themselves, both work fine in my old Dimension. Both Dell's are running XP SP2. The only other thing I can think to try at this point is stopping all possible processes on the machine in question.
