    I new to this forum but saw other similar posts regarding failures when burning a DVD. I'm trying to make a movie DVD and keep getting the reader error at about 80% burned. Here is my log contents from NERO...any clues?

    @cleander -

    - firmware appears to be up to date - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1964

    - burning virtually to outer edge of disc. if you use DVD Shrink, set target size in Shrink's preferences to 4300MB. this will sort out all future discs. redo the Shrink of this movie after changing this setting

    - that rewritable is either knackered/crap, or both

    - splat!
