I'm attempting to back up Age of Mythology in .bin/.cue form and was wondering the EXACT Write method/datatype/burn speed and whether I should "Bypass EFM errors". Thank you._X_X_X_X_X_[small]Mallow[/small]

Use General Protected CD as your datatype and everything should go ok!

Just so I know, do specific games require different datatypes? And does the speed I burn at matter if i'm simply burning PC software? For example, I read another post with people reccommending Safedisc 2 datatype. Are you reccomending general protected specifically for Age of Mythology, or for PC games in general?

I use it for PC games in general and have had no problems yet!

Ugh...need more help. I just mounted the image and installed the game without burning. Certain files during istallation hit a 'disk error' and refused to be installed, and the games textures/music/etc. is corrupted. Will this be fixed when burned onto a cd, or was the image corrupted permanently when ripped from the original cd?

You can do a complete test of the image with CDMage. It will also show which files are corrupted and, if some of the damaged sectors can be reparied, it will fix them.

I would suggest to get another image, though.
