my dvd rom used to run fine now all of a sudden whenever i use my dvd drive for anything it slows down my computer making it kind of choppy it takes my 3 times as long to burn a cd can anyone help me. Is my dvd drive going bad or what, i bought the computer in april so im lost please someone help -thanks
i'm using xp home edition, i mean my dvd drive is working its just frekin alot slower than it used to be. Iv'e just tried everything and im out of ideas. Thanks
You did not answer the DMA question - see link below http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/storage/IDE-DMA.mspx If you are in PIO mode it will extend your time considerably.
my cpu at first was running awesome then it started craping out on me i haven't tried to burn a dvd yet but im about to i'm thinking it may be my burning software. well right now my computer runs slow always when i burn cd's and other times at random
