liteon 5045 Firmware

    I live in Aust and wish to buy the liteon 5045, I am coming to the USA in one week.
    1. will this unit work in Aust if I buy it in USA
    2.Can I load the Aust firmware on a US unit, and how.

    Why don't I buy the unit in Aust because liteon are charging $850 for it in Aust.
    I have found it in the USA for $285 US

    I'm not sure about using a US 5045 in Aust. I am assuming that Aust. uses PAL which will not be compatible with the US recorder. Also you will not be able to use the Aust firmware on the US 5045.
