hello all. i'm hoping i can get a quick fix for my problem.

As of today i switched out my old DVD-RW Sony DRU-500a to a LG GSA-4163B. I'm using the latest ver of DVD-Shrink trying to backup(GuessWho). DVD-Shrink completed it's analysis and finish the process of burning to the correct target: e: HL DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4163B, to a Memorex DVD+R 16x successfully without any reported error. However, when i tried to play the backup copy, the DVD hangs up for long period of time and no data seems to have been recorded, the DVD is blank. I made sure i was able to view the movie from where DVD-Shrink had back it up on HDD and it was fine.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Memorex are generally considered to poor quality DVD media (they outsource to a variety of manufacturers leading to very variable quality).

It is advisable not to burn too fast - were you burning at 16X? For good quality results max of 4X recommended.

Try some quality media e.g., Ritek, Verbatim or TYs.
