    I've been cleaning off my hard drive by burning data discs and have encountered a recurring error using nero when trying to burn a disc. I'm pulling my hair out because it was working fine for the first few discs and now I'm getting a "error reading data", "burn process failed" message. I tried reinstalling nero, making sure no other programs are running, trying different discs and even going as far as trying to burn in safe mode and nothings working. Any advice will be appreciated as I'm relatively new to Nero. The log file is pasted below:

    hey guys - no need to reply - I luckily isolated the file quickly and removed it and all the other files burned properly. If anyone can tell from the log file why nero couldn't read this particular file, by all means, post. Otherwise, sorry to take up space.

    @mchaps - had a look thru logfile anyway -

    - firmware is out of date, B218 is here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_file.php?site=tdb1&file=1108U218.ZIP

    - strange, you're only one Nero revision behind, yet 6.6.0.14 isn't recognising your burner

    - try better discs
