i have a philips hdd/dvd recorder model dvdr520h. when recoding from normal tv on to the hdd i can't watch the decoder.
If this means that while watching Broadcast TV, you can't watch cable chanels, it either means that you are watching the TV through the DVR, are recording through the cable box, or that you need to set up a way to switch your TV monitor between devices (antenna, DVR, Cable box, etc.). My guess is the reason no one has answered was because you left out amost *all* of the information needed to help you (i.e. how your system is configured and what kind of signal/decoder/monitor you are using). bob
