Alright I Screwed Up my Xbox's HDD and i was looking into buying a new HDD for my Xbox then my brother had and idea we've wanted to buy a bigger HDD for our PC be cuz it only like 38 gigabytes and we use alot of space anyways back to what i wanted to ask if i buy a new HDD for my PC is it Possible to use my PC's old HDD on my Xbox.
Yes, if it is ATA/133... Others models may work, but you'll just have to test it and see if it does. You will need your Xbox modified in some way if you plan on using that HD in your Xbox.
i dont think the HD is never locked so i dont have to worry bout that but i heard it has to be locked to use live is this true
Yup, your HD has to be locked to use Xbox Live. Also, if you try to startup your Xbox w/ your hard drive not locked and your modchip disabled, you will be getting error 5's all day long. A little piece of advice for you... If you have created an Xbox Live account on your original Xbox HD, and then put in an upgraded HD and go onto Xbox Live w/ that, you will be banned w/in a few weeks.
