everything was working fine until a couple of minutes ago. stoik capturer now shows error code 8 everytime i hit record.
oh yeah! can i use two different cards in the same computer to capture from two separate sources? how much cpu power will it take? will i be able to use the same program for both?
You can use two (or more) cards, but I would recommend at least 1 of them be a hardware encoder card. You can use just about any software you want, with each card.
Depending on what cards/devices they are. If they rely on your CPU (with software) to do the encoding, it'll never work. I don't know if a firewire and USB will work together or not. For the error, have you tried a complete uninstall, and reinstall of the program? Have you contacted the author/support for it?
hopefully it will work alright or else ill have to rma, there wasn't any cpu strain with just the card. yes, i did the uninstall and reinstall but did not contact the tech support.
