there should be a `.cue' file with the same filename, this is basicaly a txt file that tells your cd software where to look for the image - if you dot have one then just look for any `.cue' file and alter it to point at the sim4 image (.bin)
but obviously you'd rather just use you original CD from which you created this back-up eh? ;) haha

BTW: there is also a convertor i have seen on my travels that would convert the .bin to a .nrg or whatever image-type you want for burning with other s/w altho most do .bin ayways -fireburner (or summit like that ;) ) is an easy enuff proggy for .bins tho

No need to convert the image. Just open Notepad and write a proper .CUE file as told in the README1ST:

FILE "Sim City 4 (CD1).bin.exe" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

save it in the same directory of the image file.

(I assume that "Sim City 4 (CD1).bin.exe" is the name of the image file).

THEN you'll have to burn the .CUE/.BIN set with Alcohol 120% (NOT Nero) because SC4 is protected (safedisc2, I suppose) and if the protection has not been removed you'll not be able to run it without a proper burn, and Alcohol_120% is the best application to do that

To burn the .BIN/.CUE follow the guide in
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/20980
and use Datatype 'Safedisc2' or 'General Protected CD' in step 5) of Alcohol's Guide.

    Then cross your fingers.
